Alliance Mural

This week I began working on a mural for Alliance Comics in Baltimore. So far I have invested over 25 hours of labor into this wall with over 20 characters. It will be finished in time for Free Comic Book Day which is Saturday. Tons of yummy sales going on. If you are in the area come and check it out! I will post the complete mural once I have it but for now I invite you to check out it’s progress.

News Update

2011-05-12-thor

Hey all. I will be shifting gears once more with the updating schedule. If you are a regular reader of the site you know that I really haven’t updated for about 3 weeks now. To get right to the point, my day job makes me too exhausted. I miss the times where it didn’t matter if I stayed up until 2 or 3 in the morning making comics but I simply can not do that anymore. So I will be focusing on finishing my first book and updating during the process with out a webcomic’s deadline. I can not give you a specific schedule for comic related posts. Although I can say posts will be weekly here. Some may be comics and some may not be. Super Art Fight is in full swing and growing all the time. There are lots of shows coming up. That work has to take priority with me before I get to make comics. So when you check back next time you could get comics, other art work or updates about shows and other things to get in to. I have always wanted a sketch blog anyways. This will be really fun. So uh…here is my first sketch update.

Above is a quick 15 minute sketch I did this week of THOR. I have seen the flick twice now. I enjoyed it quite a bit and look forward to getting my grubby little hands on the blu ray release when the time comes. So stoked. Anyways, I keep forgetting to bring my damn sketchbook home so I haven’t scanned it yet. I will update this post after I scan it in.

If you have any questions or comments about the changes or anything, drop a line in the comments.
See you soon.

Alliance Mural Update

I will be headed down to Alliance Comics this weekend to work on my mural. I have all day Saturday and Sunday so I could possibly get this thing finished. During my last visit I started applying my outlines for all of the characters to visualize what I will need to complete them. You can really see them starting to come to life here. Check out the post below to see the painting without the applied outlines.

Friday the 13th Sketch

I like to work big. I know Jason Voorhees has a big noggin though so let us just chalk it up to that. At least I got it all on the page. Happy Friday the 13th, everyone!
